Verderber is the co-Artistic Director of the MainStage, co-director of Premature Punchline, and is the Director of Zero Untitled-New York.

Verderber received his B.A. in Theatre Arts and B.A. in English at Texas A&M-Kingsville. He completed his Master’s in English and currently teaches in Kingsville. He has worked on over 200 theatrical projects including Zero Untitled work. Some of his work include:

Directing

The Rape of Lucrece, Lurker, A Life With No Joy In It, Plaza Suite, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and over 150 others.

Writing

Author/editor of the experimental play anthology Hybrid Theatre (Local Gems Press) poetry anthology Rising Rains (Local Gems P), play anthology [nonspace]: theatre off the stage (Fountainhead Press), Twas the FLOP Before Christmas (Sarah Book P), and Night by the River (VAO Publishing). His other works include: Epitaph by Moonlight (finalist at the Kentuck Play Contest), Amputation (Pop Culture Association selection), and his play “Once Enslaved” was taught at Texas A&M Univ.-Kingsville. He is the author of over 60 others. He co-won Best Drama for his play “Unending Repetition” (Equity Library Theatre 2017) and has had several nominations.

Acting

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Dormouse), The Laramie Project (Doc O’Conner, Jedeiah Schultz, Stephen Mead Johnson, Matt Mickelson, etc), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Flute), The Servant of Two Masters (Truffaldino), The Prodigious Snob (Covielle), Our Town (Professor Willard, Baseball player #2, Joe Stoddard), and about 75 others.

Backstage & Tech

The Shape of Things (lights), Curse of the Starving Class (properties), Pulse: One Man’s Journey Through Himself (lights), and over 60 others.

He has also been trained at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England and received improv workshop training with The Hideout Theatre in Austin, TX.

Katherine Orozco-Verderber, Director of Mainstage

Orozco-Verderber is the co-Artistic Director of Zero Untitled’s MainStage.

Katherine received her B.A. in English and her B.A. in History at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She completed her Master’s in Cultural Studies at Texas A&M University-Kingsville and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She currently teaches at Texas A&M Univ – Kingsville. Some of her Zero Untitled work includes:

Directing

Broken Wheels, A Slower Existence, Lolita and the Fox, and co-direction of A Glass Veil, in addition to several others. She also leads the Backroom Karaoke series.

Writing

A Glass Veil, Lolita and the Fox, Nightmare of Oz; the latter of which was published in [nonspace] theatre off the stage and was taught at Texas A&M Univ – Kingsville. She co-won Best Drama for her play “Treason” (Equity Library Theatre 2017).

Acting

Into Hell, Madness in Wonderland, The Rape of Lucrece, Heart and Stole, The Unraveling, Acoustical, Too Young to Die, and several others.

Her other acting endeavors include work with Visual Pictures on their feature film, The Violent States of America, work with STX Media in Deviant Behavior, The Roommate, Part II, and their anthology of horror, Dreadtime Stories.

She has also been a part of another feature, called Sunset Sabbath. She has been trained at the Globe Theatre in London, England, as well as with the Broadway cast of The Lion King in NYC. She was nominated for the best actress award at the San Antonio Horrific Film Festival for her role in The Roommate, Part II.

She was also nominated for Best Actress for her work in the New York production of Unending Repetition.

Julio Martinez, Director of “Textual Overture” and Co-Director of Premature Punchline

Martinez graduated with a Master’s in Cultural Studies, and with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. He has been a cornerstone of Zero Untitled Films/ Productions many years, begin with acting and moving up to directing plays and Happenings.  He currently leads Textual Overture and co-directs Premature Punchline as a writer and actor.

Directing

There is a Hotel at The End, The Brother’s Complex, Dependents, Only Slightly Mad, and stage manager for A Winter’s Harvest.  

Writing

Numerous projects for the improv comedy troupe Premature Punchline, wrote and directed There is a Hotel at the End, Game of Fortune, and several short poems and monologues featured at Textual Overture that have been published within the journal Writer’s Bloc.

Acting

Death In The Aisles (2023 and 2024), Relapse in Wonderland, Nightmare of Oz, Cooookie!, Autumn Leaves…Twice!, Dependents, Coach of the Year, The MIME-nificent Seven, and several others.

Daniel Rodriguez, Co-Director of “The Kamishibai Project” 

Rodriguez has been one of the most active members of Zero Untitled steadily since 2020. Since then, he has appeared both on and off both screen and stage, including projects such as The Church of Winter, Death In The Aisles (2023 & 2024), The Job Interviews, and several Premature Punchline performances.  He is currently the Co-Director of “The Kamishibai Project”, which is developing both new stories and adaptations for the kamishibai stage.
