While other projects are in their development stage, an older project is getting wrapped up. Shakespeare’s Sonnet 50, “How Heavy Do I Journey On The Way” is in post-production with music and score being finalized by Robert Trujillo.

This production is a prologue for the larger work, “Fortune Cycle”, a video adaptation of several of Shakespeare’s sonnets that tie together to create one out-of-order story. The last two cycles, have already been released.

 Late last night, members of ZU were running and driving about town in an attempt at a beta test for the next immersive theatre piece, called “The Hunt of the Scarecrows”. The skeletal script, which is more like stage directions at the moment, is being developed by Michael Verderber and will have additional scenes written by Katherine Orozco-Verderber.

The theme this year is an immersive spy game set in Emerald City, the gritty world established in “Nightmare of Oz.” More to come soon!

At press, tickets are $5 for men and free for ladies (we are part of the Ladies Night lineup), but this could be subject to change.

 Our 115th show, “Memento Mori” has wrapped up! We are under consideration for a private performance, but those details have yet to pan out. The “Memento Mori” page has been update with several new pictures from the final performance so do check those out!

The Devil’s Haven

 Zero Untitled will be having a CALL FOR PLAYS for our upcoming Christmas show in December. The event, called TEXTUAL OVERTURE, will feature live music, poems, and YOUR plays with a holiday theme in mind. The event will be staged at a restaurant/bar venue in Texas and possibly New York City.

The show has been officially named “Textual Ho Ho Hoverture” and the performance will occur at Cafe 5 on December 16th, 2017.

Submission Guidelines:

• 5-10 minute plays
• 1-3 characters (monologues are acceptable)
• Simple light and sound demands
• Must have a Christmas or “Holidays” theme (scripts not fitting this category will be considered for future productions)
• 12-point Times New Roman ONLY
• Include short BIO information in your cover letter
• Email headline MUST read “Holiday Submission: __(name of your play)___”
• Deadline: December 3^rd
• Performance: mid-December, venues TBA
• NO Submission fee
• Only reading first 100 plays submitted
• Playwrights may submit no more than 2 plays
• NO musicals (sorry)

Throughout the next few weeks, we will be promoting our next Main Stage production of “Memento Mori” with aesthetics designed to reflect the nature of each short play in the performance.  At the recent RealmsCon event on October 7 at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, PrePunch performed their “nerd” themed show, chock full of video game, comic book, Pokemon, and other science fiction and fantasy references.

The troupe performed the following games: Pokemon Dating Game, Penalty Hat, Superheroes, Find the Beelzenef, and more. More photos can be found on the Zero Untitled and Premature Punchline Facebook pages.
