Our latest music video for dungeon synth/drone/dark classical music artist Down Chamber has arrived on January 1 to kick off the new year! The video was directed by Daniel Rodriguez, Michael Verderber, and Julio Martinez. Additional concepts and storyboarding by Raymond Martinez and Katherine Orozco-Verderber.
As an extra bit of holiday cheer, ZU member Daniel Rodriguez signed one of Katherine’s songs from her Christmas album! You can watch it on our YouTube or our TikTok! Ironically, the song is forcefully muted on some services.
For this series, we will be creating very short puppet pieces for our Tik Tok. This gives us the opportunity to create puppet projects with quick commitments and opportunity to delve into styles (rod, paper, shadow, etc).
The first of these projects features an OLD character from Zero Untitled’s canon, Baby Dormouse. The character originated from the 2009 children’s show “Safety Critters”. Instead of a live actor, Baby Dormouse is now a paper puppet talking head…literally. The first two ultra shorts were posted on Tik Tok (see links below). Expect to see more Baby Dormouse and other unique experiments in puppetry.
Zero Untitled’s final project of 2024 (for possible 2024 release as well) is a holiday themed music video for Down Chamber’s track “Scattered Fears”.
The video is under the direction of Daniel Rodriguez and Michael Verderber. Additional crew at Raymond Martinez, Julio Martinez, and Katherine Orozco-Verderber. Pre-production has already begun with principal filming occurring in mid and late December 2024. UPDATE! New SPOILER photos just added below!
Here is the link to our latest, the filmed play “The Absence of Everything”, written by Katherine Orozco-Verderber and starring the playwright and Daniel Rodriguez. Crew: Aracely Guzman, Julio Martinez, Nicholas Villarreal, and Michael Verderber.
Zero Untitled are officially members of the 2024-2025 British Puppet Guild! What does this mean for us? Well, with the events and workshops that the Guild hosts, we will have access to their cache of expertise, experts, and networks of international puppeteers! So, expect to see an improvement to our puppetry endeavors in the next year.
Bringing back our horror shorts from last year, the 2024 series of “Two Sentence Horror Stories” is now officially out! Three videos will be posted on our Tik Tok with links posted here. The project is under the direction of Daniel Rodriguez.
There is a tale that has been passed down Zero Untitled lore about “the time Mike set his own face on fire” during a firebreathing show. The only problem is that no one filmed it and no one could recall which fire show it was… until now!
Delving into some Facebook memories revealed the clip! And in it you can hear the filmmaker, Patrick Garrett, say something like “Verderber told me to film this in case he set his face on fire… and then he did!” We don’t timestamp it so you can enjoy the same surprise that Mike did…
The official teaser trailer for HELLMOUTH has been released on social media and now on YouTube. Watch it above! The video was directed by Daniel Rodriguez.
Hey folks! We are adding an additional admission OPTION! For $15, there will be a NO TOUCH option. Meaning: the actors will NOT touch you, but they will still “act in your direction” and you might still be asked to participate in some no-contact activities or might get a BIT bumped (towards the end). We want you to still enjoy the experience!
Thus, for those choosing the NO TOUCH option, you will be given a glowstick to wear on your neck to convey to the actors in the dark that you are a NO TOUCH guest.
Interested in what all of this “Hellmouth” talk is about? Here is a hint below in the form of some rehearsal photos. Pictured are several cast with the crew filling in as surrogate audiences.
