“Heart and Stole” is just around the corner…

The full-length comedy “Heart and Stole” (written by Michael Verderber and adapted to the stage by Gabriel Ruiz)  is Zero Untitled’s next major project.

The play follows one night with Chris, Benji, Ellen and Ronnie; four college students set out to stalk Chris’s ex-girlfriend.  Through their endeavors, they discover more than they bargained for,  more about themselves, and that Benji can be a real whiner.

The show is slated for a late April – early May production.  See the main page for cast details.

“Into Hell” gets big turnout!

The “Divine Comedy” themed Zero Untitled and Gamerz Elite collaboration “Into Hell: A Trek Through Dante’s Inferno” proved to be a success on its one-night performance.  We had a crowd of well over 215+ people is attendance.

An hour into the performance, the line still had not decreased at all, so we had to bump up the “5 at a Time” to “8 at a time” just to accommodate the crowd.  About forty minutes into the performance, a local religious organization came to protest the performance.  Some even shouted at the people waiting in line to get in.  This is very ironic and hypocritical considering that Dante Alighieri wrote this text as a warning to Christians to NOT sin.

From our sources, some of the protesters went to the show and after realizing the positive message, began a prayer circle right outside of the building.

Wild stuff.

The crowd did not cease until sometime after midnight.  Please note, the show started at 8 pm!

As an actor, director, and theatre fan, I have worked on a lot of shows, and I have to say that I am probably most proud of this particular show.   Of the 33 people involved in the show, none of the actors had much experience.  95% of the cast, had never performed in a live theatre piece before.  The fact that students of all different backgrounds culminated together to put on this show, without a flaw, is outstanding.

I have never worked with a group so ambitious and excited about one project before.

A Trip Into Hell

Zero Untitled is proud to announce our next project, a collaboration with Texas A&M University – Kingsville’s club Gamerz Elite.
The project, called “Into Hell: A Trek Through Dante’s Inferno” will be a walking tour through the 9 rings of Hell, as outlined by Dante Alighieri’s “The Divine Comedy.” The club and company will be transforming the university hall, Sam Fore Hall, into the 9 rings of death, but with a contemporary twist.
Instead of merely watching people suffer in Hell, audience members will witness that actions that send people into Hell.
The show can best be described as a walking tour, haunted house, live art theatrical performance.
Performance is ONE DAY ONLY – February 25th at 8:00pm and there will be a $2 charge.

First Ultra short film, “Pilo, the Never Ending” premieres!

Zero Untitled’s 37th production has been unveiled!  This production is very unique for several reasons:

1. Our first film since 2009’s “Over White Wine

2. Filmed entirely in northern California

3. Used an all-Vietnamese cast & crew

4. Our first film in the “Ultra Short Films” series

5. Music by They Call Me Jessie

6. Zero Untitled’s first attempt at a B-movie style film

As you can see, we are very excited about this short flick.  Go to the “Pilo, the Never Ending” page, under “Productions” and check it out!

Upcoming ultra short film series

Zero Untitled is proud to announce our upcoming series of short-short films.  The films will, like “The Suicide Note”, be under 5 minutes.  As of right now, ZU is planning at least 3-4 ultra short films.  Our first has already been filmed and is heading to the can.

“Pilo, the Never Ending” is the first in the series.  It will star Kayden Nguyen, previously in “13: The Political Climate of Freemasonry.”  Because of the brief nature of the films, not much can be said about the films without giving too much of it away.  See the “Pilo, the Never Ending” for more info.

“The Run Around” CANCELLED

Due to directorial dilemnas, “The Run Around” has been officially cancelled.  The director, Chad Wallace, has been transferred to another military unit over 230 miles away, thus unable to fulfill the directing duties.

Because Zero Untitled is continuing on with “Twas the FLOP Before Christmas”, the time constraints have become too great.  We regret to let the show go and we were unable to find another director to fill the slot, but the shows must go on.

Look for “Twas the FLOP Before Christmas” opening December 18-20 at the Lab Theatre on the TAMUK campus.
