Every OTHER week is a different style of show. So last night’s performance was a Penalty Hat Night. Penalty Hat Night is a one-hour long game show where the PrePunch contestants get penalized for getting tough and often impossible questions wrong.

Every other week again is a regular improv night of several classic, original, and bizarre improv games with a heightened use of audience and immersion. Here is a schedule of shows that were just performed and ones upcoming.

Ice To Meet You Two: The Italian Iceman Cometh (in review)

PP beth ICEMAN

Zero Untitled’s Premature Punchline improv comedy troupe performed our 103rd production at Angel’s Italian Ice and Smores on July 22, 2016. The show was lead by co-director Beth Marie Cantu-Castillo and newcoming director Robert Trujillo. The cast involved were Julio Martinez, Michael Verderber, Beth Marie Cantu-Castillo, Andrea Lorin, and Robert Trujillo.

PrePunch opened the show with a classic game of Alphabet and began the set with Freeze Tag. The cast went on to play Dating Game and a brand new skit called “Pokemon Go Reviewed by Stace”, which was performed by Lorin. The one-woman piece was a comic review of the hot new app game. Following that was a couple of rounds of “What’s My Pitch?” and they ended the show with Quoteline.  – Robert Trujillo.

#ZeroLife

Zero Untitled has so many assorted ideas and bits, that we often run out of places to do/perform them. Thus, the brainchild project of Katherine Orozco-Verderber, #ZeroLife was born. Essentially, #ZeroLife (our 101st production) is the culmination of several of our bits, clips, outtakes, songs, and other assorted goodies that don’t quite fit in our lineup. Although the releases are still coming, here is what has been released thus far. All of these can been seen on the Zero Untitled Facebook page. So far, this is a summer project, but more projects will be released in the next few months.

Check them out here: https://www.facebook.com/Zero.Untitled/

“Ice To Meet You” Went Warmly

Van - Ice to Meet You The Textual Overture and Premature Punchline mashup show, “Ice To Meet You” was met warmly on Friday night, April 1st. And no, there were no April Fool jokes, but there was one Rick roll, courtesy of our own Van. The performance was held at Angel’s Italian Ice and S’more, a new dessert shop in Kingsville.

As our 98th production in our existence, the show was a blast full of comedy, music, heart breaking poetry, and the general chaos that is associated with both TO and PP performances.

Check out the show page for pics coming soon! A couple of videos are available exclusively on our Zero Untitled Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Zero.Untitled/

Last night’s madness…

Production #95 – Premature Punchline’s “Happy All-The-Days” went over swimmingly at the new location of Café 5, a venue that frequently hosts PP and Textual Overture shows! Here are a few pics of the chaos from last night. Some of the holiday-themed games were “Penalty Hat,” “Partners in Speech,” “Questions” and others. Performing last night was Debs, Drea, Poodle, Julio, Verderber, and Katy helped with tech and set up.

Tonight, celebrate all the holidays and get 2016 over with.

Our 95th production comes in the form of a Premature Punchline holiday show. Every year we cycle in which branch gets the “holiday” slot like “Twas the FLOP…” (Mainstage 2009), the “Rated R Christmas” shows (PrePunch 2012-13), and last year’s Textual Overture. So, the (late) 2015 show is headed up by Premature Punchline!

PP jan 5

Tonight at Café 5’s new location, we reveal our ironically first 2016 production yet-still-2015 holiday show called “Happy All-The-Days” presented by our improv troupe. You will see a spattering of games that cover more holidays than the holiday season allows, squeezing in everyone’s favorite lame holidays like Arbor Day, President’s Day, and Canadian Boxing Day.

This is a free show and will be performed at Café 5 on January 5, 2016.
