New book coming soon!

A first draft of our forthcoming anthology of plays and poetry is coming soon from Local Gems Press! The book, called “Zero Untitled // Hybrid Theatre // 2007 -2013” is on the hands of the editor and should be released in the next few months.

Some of the plays and poems include BROKEN WHEELS, THESE LAST WORDS, REGRETS OF IDIOCY, and many more! The book will be a collection of earlier short comedies, dramas, and poetic hybrids from our earlier years. More information and a release date will be coming soon.

Tim Mooney: “Criteria” and “Moliere Than Thou” fun!

In the Blue Room, in collaboration with ZU, he staged a preview performance of “Criteria” and at the Little Theatre, in collaboration with TAMUK’s French Club, he performed “Moliere Than Thou.” He also conducted an acting workshop on March 5. Here are some pictures from the events. Members of Zero Untitled capitalized on his presence by attending his events, participating in his work, or running his tech.

Dystopian Double Header: “THREE CELLS” and “CRITERIA”

CRPoster (1) Our friends at the Tim Mooney Repertory Theatre will be bringing in their dystopian one-man comic science fiction thriller just says after our production of “Three Cells” wraps up! This performance will be a one-night only affair and admission will be via tip jar. Here is the promotional flyer for CRITERIA.

“Three Cells” runs February 28, March 2nd and 3rd. All productions will occur in the Blue Room at Texas A&M University – Kingsville unless noted. The plays are not performed back-to-back.

Sonnet 50 – Now available for viewing

Behind the scenes filming Sonnet 50 Our latest entry (and our 117th work), part 1 of our Shakespearean Fortune Cycle, is up and available for viewing! The video cycle is an out-of-chronological-order series that connects several of the Bard’s sonnets form one modern, albeit dark tale. See it here on Youtube!
Other parts of the cycle have already been posted (they have been posted out of chronological order). Featuring ZU zo-founder Gabriel Ruiz and an original score by Robert Trujillo. Look for more of the Fortune Cycle in upcoming months!

Auditions for dystopian drama coming up

Auditions will be held THIS WEEK at Texas A&M Univ – Kingsville campus for our forthcoming “Three Cells” production!

The dystopian drama is set in a prison where inmates tell their tales of imprisonment and abuse at the hands of the powers that be.

See you on Thursday, Jan 18 at 6 pm in Sam Fore Hall, room 202.
