Zero Untitled’s adaptation to William Shakespeare’s poem “The Rape of Lucrece” will be getting revived as part of St. Louis’s huge festival for the Bard, Shake38.  Performance date is April 26, with St Louis location pending.  An additional Texas performance will also be staged upon the group’s return from Missouri.

Cast (in order of appearance) 

Sin – Luis Zaragosa – Lt. Zaragosa has 30 acting, directing, and writing credits under his belt with Zero Untitled, and has been performing with them for the better part of the decade. He is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University-Kingsville, receiving his B.A. in English. He was trained at the Globe Theatre in London in 2012.

Reader 1 – Aaron Salinas – Mr. Salinas is another Zero Untitled veteran, with 14 credits on his resume. He was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Ensemble at the CC7D film festival last year. He is currently majoring in Communications of Radio/TV at TAMUK. He has been recently trained at the Hideout Theatre in Austin, Texas.

Reader 2 – Elan Perez – Mr. Perez is relatively new to Zero Untitled, but has already dipped his toes into three shows, where he has written as well as acted. He is an English major at TAMUK.

Tarquin – Robert Breedlove – Mr. Breedlove is another new face to Zero Untitled with two credits. He is currently a Communications major at TAMUK.

Collatine/Chorus 4 – Joshua “Beta” McCaulley – Mr. McCaulley is a veteran of Zero Untitled with 9 acting credits in only a couple short years. He is a Music Education major at TAMUK, and has been recently trained at the Laredo Theatre Guild International, where he performed in Hairspray.

Chorus 1/Lucretius – Julio Martinez – Mr. Martinez is a long-time Zero Untitled affiliate, with 19 acting, directing, and writing credits under his belt in five years. He received his BA in English and Psychology from TAMUK. He was trained at the Globe Theatre in London in 2012.

Chorus 2/Nurse – Desiree Putnam – Ms. Putnam has many theatre credits at TAMUK, but this is her second role with Zero Untitled. She received her B.A. in Psychology and is currently studying to receive her Master’s in Counseling at TAMUK.

Chorus 4/Brutus – Michael Verderber – Mr. Verderber is the creative director of Zero Untitled, and has been involved in all 70 plus shows the company has produced in its ten years. He received his BA in English and Theatre and his MA in English from TAMUK and is a lecturer on campus. He was also trained at the Globe Theatre in London and the Hideout Theatre in Austin, Texas. He has also had recent publications with Fountainhead Press, VAO Publishing, The Thing Itself literary journal, Sarah Book Publishing, and The Newer York Press.

Lucretia – Katherine Orozco – Ms. Orozco is a veteran of Zero Untitled with 24 acting, writing, and directing credits in five years. She received her B.A. in English and History at TAMUK and is currently studying for her M.A. in English Literature. She has been recently published with Fountainhead Press. She has been trained with the Broadway cast of The Lion King and at the Globe Theatre in London. She was part of the Best Ensemble Cast at CC7D film festival and was nominated for the Best Actress Award at the Horrific Film Festival this summer.

Tech – Rebekah Ramos – Ms. Ramos is another veteran performer of Zero Untitled with 21 credits. She is currently an Animal Science major at TAMUK. Though she did not travel with us, we appreciate all of her hard work in every show.

Tech – Nicolas Rodriguez – Mr. Rodriguez is new to the Zero Untitled circuit. He is currently a Music Education major at TAMUK. He was the recipient of a Latin Grammy for best Tejano album in 2010.

Photography/Promotion – Anissa Medina – Ms. Medina is relatively new to Zero Untitled, but she has already wrangled 7 credits. She is currently an Earth Science major at TAMUK, and her photography has been published on the cover of [nonspace] theatre off the stage, which included plays written by Michael Verderber and Katherine Orozco and on the cover of Twas the FLOP Before Christmas, published by Sarah Book Publishing.

Additional Photography – Heraclio Gonzalez, Jr. – Mr. Gonzalez is a veteran in ZU with well over 20 credits. He holds a BA in Theatre and Radio/TV and was nominated for “Best First-Time Leader” Award at CC7D.  He has received training at the Hideout Theatre and is currently a member of Premature Punchline.
